Whether you are writing a brand new blog post or updating old blog content to make it new again, if your content isn’t scrumptious, then, well…brides + grooms are going to click away (+ fast). Use these three quick + easy tips to make sure you’re writing killer blog posts.
#1 Be Conversational When Writing Killer Blog Posts
Write in a way that is similar to (or the same as) the way you talk. Pretend as if you are sitting with a wedding couple at a consultation. Speak to them with your blog content the same way you would speak to them if they are sitting right in front of you. Share the same information + say it in the same way as you would face-to-face. It makes the brides or grooms who are reading your blog post feel as if they are having a conversation with you – + can help to put them at ease about hiring you + working with you.
In other words, skip the jargon. Talk to them like they are human beings + use words they understand.
#2 Focus on What’s in it for Them
Brides + grooms are S-E-L-F-I-S-H. All they really want to know is what you can do for them. The information you share in wedding blog posts should offer actionable steps they can take + should be chock full of useful + relevant content to planning their wedding.
#3 Be Informative, but Not Wordy When Writing Killer Blog Posts
Brides + grooms come to your blog to find out more information about some wedding topic or topics that pertain to their wedding, solves a current wedding planning issue they’ve run up against, to be inspired on planning their wedding or to gather ideas for their wedding.
Write enough content that you answer their burning questions + that you build up enough trust + credibility with them that you convince them to NEED to hire you. Don’t share so much information that you overwhelm them + scare them away before they are even ready to sit down with you for a consultation.
Stick to these quick + easy three tips + it works. You can easily create blog posts that are compelling, intriguing + EFFECTIVE. You can book more weddings + book your calendar solid when you start out with the right words.
