Social media management can really be a challenge. I’ve used several different social media schedulers over the years to automate + manage my social media marketing. Here’s my experience with each social media schedulers so you can determine which is the best social media scheduler for your wedding business.
Edgar
When I used Edgar back in 2016, it was the only social media scheduler of its kind. Not only can you schedule your social media updates, but it puts your social media updates on autopilot. You see, Edgar stores your content in categories. You can create a schedule of your categories. Edgar chooses content from your content library to share from the appropriate category (So you upload content one time and Edgar uses it over + over again). In other words, it recycles your content so that it doesn’t just post once + then it never sees the light of day again. You can also schedule updates for one-time use so you do not have to recycle content if you do not want to.
Because it is a social media management tool like no other, there is a learning curve. It takes some time to get used to using Edgar to its fullest potential (but what potential it is!). Signing up for the newsletter helps shorten the curve, however, because it includes tips, tricks + shortcuts for using Edgar.
The other part is that Edgar comes with a pretty hefty price tag at $49/month. has a cost associated with it. The good news is that Edgar does a lot more than other social media schedulers, so you’re getting a much bigger bang for your buck, no matter how you look at it.
Recurpost
I am in L-O-V-E with Recurpost. It is a social media management tool that works exactly like Edgar works but the price tag is a LOT less expensive. Not only can you schedule your social media updates, but it puts your social media updates on autopilot.
Recurpost stores your content in categories. You can create a schedule of your categories. Recurpost chooses content from your content library to share from the appropriate category (So you upload content one time and Recurpost uses it over + over again). You can also schedule updates for one-time use.
While Edgar only offers one pricing plan, Recurpost offers four + one of the plans is FREE.
Tailwind
Tailwind is a scheduler for your Pinterest pins. In fact, it is the ONLY scheduler for Pinterest. Pinterest + Tailwind are good buddies. I use Tailwind + I LOVE it. If you use my link, you get your first month of Tailwind for FREE. As a wedding pro, if you’re not using Pinterest, start using it now. Brides + grooms are all over Pinterest + Pinterest is the second largest search engine (second only to Google).
Buffer
Buffer is a social media scheduling tool. You can add your social media accounts, create an update one time, and send it out into the social media universe. The main difference between Buffer and Hootsuite is that Buffer does not allow you to monitor other people’s updates from your social media accounts (Hootsuite does). (HINT: If you’re solely looking for a tool to push updates out, then I like Buffer better. If you’re looking for something to schedule updates and monitor your social media accounts simultaneously, then Hootsuite is the better option.) Try Buffer FREE for 14 days.
Loomly
Loomly is a social media scheduler that helps you put your posting on autopilot. It also provides advanced analytics so you can measure how your posts are performing.
Analytics are important. You want to see which of your social media posts are performing well + which ones aren’t. You want repeat your successes and adjust your not-so-successful posts. Another important feature is the number of social media accounts. Loomly is more accommodating on the
You can try Loomly for 15 days FREE, no credit card, no obligation.
Determining which social media scheduler is the best option for your business requires you to take a long hard look at the features and the pricing for the scheduler. Consider things like how many social media accounts you need for the scheduler to include, whether it offers one-time posts or recycles content for you, and which social media accounts it updates.
