Today, let’s talk about growing your blog. There are SO MANY WAYS to grow your blog.

And over the last couple of years, it feels like I’ve tried them all.

Some worked.

Some did not work.

After a bunch of trial and error, here are my current top two faves:

1. Content Upgrades

The content upgrade. It’s essentially an incentive for the brides + grooms visiting your blog to read your post because then they can download a freebie at the end.

The content upgrade is a two-for-one because not only does it draw brides + grooms to your site that want to download what you have to offer, but it also GROWS your email list at the same time.

Yup, when they get to the end of the blog post, you offer them a freebie (checklist, PDF of the post, or whatever) in exchange for their name + email address.

2. Pinterest

I know a lot of wedding pros hate Pinterest because they think it builds unrealistic expectations for brides + grooms that are pinning away.

The fact of the matter is that as a wedding pro, you have to be where your brides + grooms are. I’m here to tell you that they are ALL, OVER, PINTEREST.

This means that you need to be ALL. OVER. PINTEREST. too. So, get pinning.

I am slowly growing my wedding site. I took it over from the originally owner and had to make some changes. It was a mess behind the scenes. I want to make it thrive and be a better community.
